THE MIND BEHIND THIS PROJECT IS THE ARTIST GAIA LAZZARO, A COMPUTATIONAL DESIGNER WHO HAD PREVIOUSLY WORKED AT IRIS VAN HERPEN ATELIER.
AFTER HER LATEST STUDIES IN BIOMIMICRY, SHE DECIDED TO GIVE LIFE TO HYPEROBJECTS, A POLYHEDRIC PROJECT IN WHICH THE AIM IS TO CREATE WEARABLE “OBJECTS” THAT BECAME PROVOCATIVE STATEMENTS OF REBELLION TO THE ANTHROPOCENE ERA.
THANKS TO A CONTINUOUS COLLABORATION WITH THE MILANESE-BASED VISUAL ARTIST ROXY CERON, A MEXICAN-BORN PIONEER IN THE RESEARCH OF ANALOG SFX, HYPEROBJECTS BECAME A REALITY THAT AIMS TO CREATE GATHERING EVENTS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL UNDERGROUND ART COMMUNITY. ROXY HANDLES EXTERNAL COLLABORATIONS BY CREATING PUBLIC EVENTS TO OPEN A DIALOGUE ABOUT THE ROLE OF THE “HUMAN” IN A WORLD WHERE MATTER IS TAKING OVER.
